Passage Lockset Instructions
Passage lockset can be installed in both wooden and steel doors. Lockset requires installation of specialized tuning in addition to the lock and barrel set. The lock set trim adds additional security to the doors. The specialized tuning will be determined by the features of the passage lockset that you choose. Lockset necessary to upgrade the hardware on the door. The lockset has a set screw in the shoulder behind the door knob that locks the steering wheel to the axle assembly. Remove passage lockset can be accomplished with just a few basic tools in less than an hour. If you have basic home repair skills, you can remove yourself lockset.
Locate the set screw in the axis of the door handle, and remove it using an Allen key. Slide the door knob of the wheel spindle, and remove the cover plate from the door. Remove the two screws that hold the spindle and the back plate to the door with a Phillips screwdriver. Slide the spindle out of the door, and remove the door knob assembly from the opposite side of the door.

Loosen the screws holding the front plate to the edge of the door frame with the Phillips screwdriver, and remove the plate. Grasp the passage lockset bolt mechanism with your fingers and pull it out through the door.
